Patmana Rafiq Kunary – Case Manager/ Dari, Pashto Interpreter
Patmana has 15 years of experience and has worked with mostly women led business in her career. She started her career in Women for Women International and in her seven years tenure, helped hundreds of women to establish their own enterprises. She later joined USAID and provided technical advisory services to the micro lending, banking, and telecom industries to increase digitization as well as increase financial literacy and inclusion of Afghan women. After that, she moved to USA and took a break from her career to raise her young children and after some time started her own tailoring and alterations business. Patmana joined the NAAM team in 2021 as an interpreter and Case Manager for newly immigrated Afghan families living in Newburyport, MA. She is a native Pashto and Dari (Persian) speaker and also speaks English and Urdu. She lives with her husband and two kids in Portsmouth, NH
