Empowering New Beginnings
At the New American Association of Massachusetts (NAAM), we offer comprehensive employment support to help individuals overcome cultural, linguistic, and personal barriers in their journey toward meaningful, stable, and rewarding work. Whether they have newly arrived in the U.S. or are an immigrant supporting a family, our programs are designed to guide you toward economic self-sufficiency.
Our Employment Programs
Employment Support Services Program (ESSP)
ESSP assists families referred to NAAM by the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA). We provide case management, ESOL classes, and employment assistance to help clients gain the skills and resources they need for successful job placement.
By enrolling in ESSP, clients receive additional DTA benefits, including access to childcare vouchers and an $80 monthly transportation stipend to support their employment journey.
Comprehensive Refugee Employment Services (CRES)
CRES is designed to support ORR-eligible individuals (refugees, asylees, Special Visa Immigrants, Cuban-Haitian Parolees) with employment needs for up to 5 years after they enter the United States. CRES receives many of its referrals through resettlement agencies and through word of mouth in the community. Working towards assuring financial self-sufficiency for all of their clients, CRES utilizes career trainings, English instruction, and personalized job search support.
Services We Offer
Personalized Case Management
Each client undergoes a comprehensive needs assessment to evaluate skills, strengths, and employment barriers. Based on this assessment, we develop an individualized employment plan with clear goals, training needs, and job placement strategies.
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Classes
Our ESOL classes help non-native English speakers strengthen their language skills for everyday life and professional settings. With a focus on practical communication, students build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing—essential tools for success in the workplace.
Job Search & Placement Assistance
NAAM provides resume development, interview preparation, and job application support to help clients secure employment. We also assist with hiring paperwork, on-the-job training, and long-term job retention.
Employment Training & Vocational Education
For many clients, training is key to entering the workforce. We facilitate vocational and educational programs to enhance skills, including:
- Home Health Aide (HHA) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training
- Manufacturing and hospitality certifications (e.g., ServSafe)
- Computer literacy and IT courses
- Driving school (private and commercial licenses)
Workforce Integration & Cultural Coaching
We offer job-readiness training, workplace orientation, and Un workplace etiquette coaching to help clients feel confident and prepared in their new jobs.

Our process includes: Carefully pre-screening candidates to match job openings; Providing hiring and interview support; Offering workplace transition assistance; and Ensuring job retention with follow-up support

Wash Cycle Laundry
Wash Cycle Laundry’s streamlined hiring process and commitment to accommodating candidates’ needs set them apart.
