The New American Association of Mass. Receives Generous Donation to Support Immigrants
The Cummings Foundation, a philanthropic initiative, supporting Middlesex, Essex and Suffolk counties of Massachusetts, has awarded $100,000 to the New American Association of Massachusetts (NAAM), a local agency with a long history of welcoming refugees and immigrants to the North Shore. With this funding, NAAM is hiring a Case Manager who will support Spanish-speaking immigrants in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Now, more than ever, non-English speaking immigrants have a great need for direct support services. With this grant from the Cummings Foundation, NAAM will be able to provide support to more immigrants who did not previously meet the requirements for case management support at the organization.
As a result of this support from The Cummings Foundation and the personalized service received from the Case Manager, more immigrants residing on the North Shore, specifically in Lynn and Lowell, will be self-sufficient and self-determined with the tools and resources they need to advocate for themselves.
