NAC clients are excited to be taking part this year in the Lynn Community Garden effort. On three recent Saturdays, clients have met at the Cook Street garden with David Gass, long time director of the project. After learning about how the community garden concept works, clients planted vegetable seeds of their choice in trays, where they are being nurtured indoors at the Center until the weather is warm enough for seedlings to be planted in the plots at the garden. Clients are thrilled with the opportunity to grow their own vegetables, and are looking forward to harvesting their okra, squash, parsley, beets and beans!
