Zabihullah Moshfiq

Employment Associate, Lowell Office

Zabihullah Moshfiq joined NAAM in April 2022 as a full-time Employment Associate to help serve the large influx of Afghans escaping the Taliban amid the withdrawal of US/NATO forces at the end of the 2001–2021 war in Afghanistan. He and his family have lived in the United States since 2018.

Zabi graduated from Balkh University in Afghanistan with a degree in Public Administration and Diplomacy. In Afghanistan he worked with UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees), USAID (United States Agency for International Development), and other international organizations. He was responsible for skills training for new private sector entrepreneurial enterprises that encouraged women and the marginalized with their start-ups, capacity-building plans for municipal departments, community engagement initiatives, and overseeing local projects ranging from public administration, urban and strategic planning to financial management and economic development. In the US, Zabi has worked as an interpreter and in the manufacturing sector.

It is important to Zabi to protect and help people forced to leave their homes around the world.
