Sabine Metellus

Employment Associate, Lowell Office

Sabine Metellus joined NAAM in September 2023 as a part-time Employment Associate to help serve the growing Haitian population. She is uniquely qualified for this position, since she was a client in 2020, when NAAM helped her family settle in the United States. She is very aware of her clients’ struggles and leads from personal experience. Sabine helps to remove barriers to employment by finding childcare, ESOL classes, driving lessons, and anything else her clients need to start their new life in this country.

Sabine earned a degree in Business Administration from Inuqua University in Port -au-Prince, Haiti. Inspired by the work NAAM is doing for immigrants and wanting to give back, she enrolled at Middlesex Community College in 2022 and is pursuing an associate degree in Human Services. Sabine also works as a full-time Case Manager at House of Hope, a shelter for homeless families. There she also focuses on helping Haitian families, by collaborating with residents on individualized and goal-oriented rehousing plans, as well as reaching out to other social service agencies and schools as needed.

Of Haitian origin, Sabine loves spicy dishes and sunny weather. As a Social Worker, she takes pleasure in beautifying the lives of her clients.
