Ramy Mahdi, Volunteer/Computer Training/IT
Ramy is from Syria. He came to the United States in 2015. He was referred to the New American Center for job readiness. He didn’t need English classes because he has a bachelor’s degree in English literature. After several months, He ended up volunteering in the computer lab. NAAM helped him find his first job. Fortunately, his work schedule allows him to continue to volunteer in the computer lab. He enjoys helping the students with their computer skills, troubleshooting problems with the computers, and maintaining the equipment. He also help translate for students when necessary.
