Nicole Wilmarth, Early Childhood Coordinator

Nicole joined NAAM in the late Spring of 2023 as the organization’s Early Childhood Coordinator. Nicole grew up in Lynn and continues to live in the city with her family. She has a rich background working with nonprofits, social work and early education. At the beginning of her career, she was a direct care counselor working with adolescents in need of mental health, substance abuse, family and education support. Since then she has been an early educator for the past 15 years. She first worked with nonprofits, Newton Community Service Center and South Windsor Child Development Center, as a Lead Infant, Toddler and Preschool Teacher and then worked with the Saugus and Lynn public school districts as a Pre-K Teacher. She earned her BA in Child Development with a concentration in Early Education from SNHU and has her Massachusetts teaching license working with students PreK-Grade 2 with or without disabilities.

Nicole has developed and manages various play groups for NAAM, both on site in the Lynn office, and off site at various shelters in the area housing newcomers. She supports our youngest clients with social/emotional development, early literacy, language development, school readiness, and sensory play based learning. Nicole also supports parents with finding resources for their young children with early intervention supports, community resources, school registrations, and child care vouchers and enrollments. She became a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician in the Fall of 2023 and is able to provide car seat installations, safety checks and provide car seats for those in need with support from Lynn EMS.

She is encouraged and excited to be providing all the support she can to our littlest clients and their families as they navigate our community.
