Rouaa Ahmad, Mentoring Program Coordinator

Rouaa Ahmad coordinates the Refugee Youth Mentoring (RYM) program at NAAM, which helps youth develop a goal plan and receive guidance through mentoring to track and achieve their goals. Rouaa’s involvement with the NAAM organization began as a refugee teen when she first arrived in the United States from Iraq. She then left the organization to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After graduating college, Rouaa returned as an AmeriCorps Volunteer at NAAM with United Way’s North Shore AmeriCorps Program. She hopes to continue using her education and personal experience to guide her in supporting immigrant and refugee youth so that they can thrive in their new home.
