William A. Peña, Employment Specialist
William Pena, a native of Dominican Republic, is an Employment Specialist for NAAM’s ESSP Program. Early in his career, William found a passion for working with youth in low-income communities while volunteering in a mentoring program in Chelsea, MA. Subsequently, William worked with the International Institute of New England in Boston, MA. as an ESOL Intern and Legal Interpreter, assisting members of the immigrant community through English classes and translating in legal meetings. While at Gordon College, where he earned his B.A. in Political Science in 2018, William led service trips to Tijuana, Mexico to serve children at the Casa de la Esperanza Orphanage. William loves getting to know his clients and helping them achieve self-sufficiency. In his spare time, William is an Outdoor Instructor for La Vida Center for Outdoor Education and Leadership in Wenham, MA.
